GRACELAND HOLIDAY PRESS ROOM
Graceland will officially begin the holiday season on Friday, November 23rd, 2007 with the annual lighting of Elvis’ traditional lights and decorations on the mansion property. Members of the working media are invited to attend the lighting ceremony; crews are encouraged to make advance arrangements by calling the Graceland Media Relations Department at 901.332.3322. For members of the media unable to attend or those in need of advance photos of Graceland decorated for the Holidays, please e-mail photos@elvis.com to make a photo request.
The extensive Holiday spectacle at Graceland in 2007 includes hundreds of blue lights along the driveway, a life-size Nativity scene, Santa and his sleigh and much more originally displayed by Elvis. Adding to the lighting festivities and fun this year, Elvis-Santa will arrive in typical King of Rock n’ Roll style via a limousine with police escort in typical Elvis style.
The interiors of Graceland mansion will also be decked in Elvis’s Christmas décor for the holiday season and will include his traditional red velvet drapes and Presley family Christmas artifacts on display for the first time around throughout the Graceland mansion tour including the Jungle Room. New in 2007, a display of Christmas cards to Elvis from other celebrities will be displayed in Vernon’s office as part of the special Holiday tour of Elvis Presley’s Graceland. This special exhibit and all of the Holiday lights and decorations will be on display beginning November 23rd, 2007 through the annual Elvis Presley Birthday Celebration ending on January 8th, 2008.

Mansion closed on Tuesdays December - February; however, plaza attractions are open on Tuesdays.
Plaza attractions (Car Museum, Sincerely Elvis, Airplanes): Monday - Sunday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
All operations are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and sometimes on New Year's Day. Call for other holiday hours.
